Well.....
It is basically everything we expected -it's the same graphics engine (although it feels more polished, smoother, more detailed textures in parts).
Sound is the same as before, big thing I noticed against COD4 is that in MP there is hardly any sound of footsteps, so you can't hear them coming...
The control system is the same as RB6V, with the addition of holding left shoulder to sprint (during which short time you cannot shoot)
The leveling system allows you to level in SP and Terrorist hunt as well as in MP, with your character keeping its look (outfit/armour/face etc) between both. For being Elite in RB6V I was given a bonus of 2500 XP when the game loaded, which boosted me to "Specialist" Level. Playing the Campaign on Normal you get 3XP for a terrorist kill, on MP I was getting 25 XP for a kill (teamkills and suicides give -XP)
Weapons seem the same as RB6V so far, again a comparision to COD4 but it seems to take quite a few shots to take someone down (this may have been due to lag). Recoil seems to be increased to me as well, but this may be a reflection of my COD4 play rather than a comparison to RB6V.
Vikki will be happy that if you put your silencer on then the game remembers this for you - so you do not need to put it on as each round starts.
MP Loading times are shorter than before, and the lobby has been "prettied up". You now have 4 different equipment sets (recon/assault/demo/snipe) which you can customize with different armour/gun/outfit layouts - ala COD4.
The standard faces are v v ugly so you will probably want to use the webcam to add yours (except you spanky, you should use one of the standard ones)
Cover system remains the same, but some cover can be shot through now so you are not completely safe. Also blindfire accuracy has been greatly reduced. Another balancing change is the "pop out and fire" from cover, the initial accuracy when doing this has also changes so that you cannot always guarantee to hit the same exact spot when you pop up.
There are about 13 maps - a few are returns from RB6V. One thing I did notice, you can go to "extras" in the menu, and download the Streets map for free from XBL - perhaps they did not finish it in time to put it on the disc ?
Other maps I remember returning from RB6V are Trainyard, Presidio, Streets, Killhouse (Redux).
Not to be a downer but there are a few "issues" that I have with it (but they are very very minor and I still think it's a great game)
1) In the lobby there is a Ping indicator for you, but you cannot see anyone elses...
2) Sometimes when you get shot and the camera zooms right into you the picture becomes all "pixellated" i.e. a lower resolution for a few seconds.
I think that covers it, if anyone has any questions let me know
