Anyone with Virgin Media - Im currently with Sky BB and its getting on my tits Sad drops out constantly 3 or 4 times a day - just looking to switch, just wondered what they were like for connection/support?

Or any other provider suggestions? (except those arse wipes BT Sad )

m
get them to readjust your line so your not dropping out as often, you need to talk to an engineer
I'm with Virgin on their 10MB cable connection.

IMO the download limits are too tight, and I don't get as good a ping as I would like... but it is better than ADSL in my area :/
Is it "Advise" or "Advice"? Can't be arsed to look it up - someone of the top of your head

Advice, but only if you are being a pedantic cunt rather than trying to help.
I used to have Virgin media and didn't have much problems with them and id been a customer for years but i gave them the boot though after they started Throttling the connection if you go over there download limit they would half your download speed until the start of the following month.

Im now with Bethere who are part of 02 and dont have much problems so far with them in about a year of being a customer Smile
They also have a ticket system which i prefer for tech/customer support which is ok if you cant be arsed phoning up.
Im on Virgin Media 20MB no problems with connection dropping or things like that super fast and never have problems with them throttling my connection as I dont break the allowance at certain times of the day!

Ive only ever done that once and all that happens is your connection runs at about 2mb or something like that
I'm with virgin too and they've been fine for me. ours does get a lot of use (music mainly) but i havent noticed it too bad. although, usually i'm playing more online and havent been so much recently so notice the blips like i used to.
Cheers all , tinks far teh advise - reckon i'll go with Vergen Midia then - goto go back to teh docters aigin - this dixlective shti si playin up again lol
i was on virgin but switched to sky. virgin were awful for about 6 months, i was getting no where near the speed i was paying for, hell i was getting no where near the next speed down! They sent me a new modem and still it was rubbish. had engineers out repeatedly and they couldn't figure it out.
I find the modems / routers that the companies sent you are pretty shit.

Have a look at: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/p...egory_oid=

This is the cable version of the Dlink I'm using - the BT version is excellent - no problems and doesn't get the NAT problems my old Speedtouch was getting.
have to agree with you there Phil - Sky gives ya a nice option for all in one, Tv/Broadband & Phone at a nice price - but the router is friggin pants - one of my ethernet ports has gone already and there's only 2 on there Sad ive got hubs all over the place at the moment Sad and the wireless range is shite compared to my old BT/Linksys routers - should know better, really - since having broadband - ive always put my trust in Linksy's - bloody quality at a good price , never let ya down !!! time for a change me thinks - Hi Danny Cool waves.......
