I really wasn't looking forward to this one, for two reasons, 1 - it's a return to WW2, 2, it's made by Treyarch and not Infinity Ward.

BUT.....

1) Treyarch have effectively been given the engine from COD4... so it is basically COD4 re-skinned for WW2

2) They have kept so many elements of COD4 - even the perks are back.

Perk 1:

- Special Grenades x3
- Satchel Charge x2
- M9A1 Bazooka x2
- Bomb Squad
- Bouncing Betty x2 (similar to claymores)
- Bandolier
- Primary Grenades x2
- M2 Flamethrower

Perk 2:

- Stopping Power
- Fireworks (explosives cause more damage)
- Flak Jacket (decreases damage taken by explosives)
- Gas Mask
- Juggernaut
- Camouflage
- Sleight of Hand
- Shades (decreases intensity of signal flares)
- Double Tap
- Overkill

Perk 3:

- Deep Impact
- Extreme Conditioning
- Steady Aim
- Toss Back (resets fuse on tossing back enemy grenade)
- Second Chance (ability to revive allies)
- Martyrdom
- Fireproof
- Dead Silence
- Iron Lungs
- Reconnaissance (shows artillery and tanks on map)

Vehicle Perk:

- Water Cooler
- Greased Bearings
- Ordnance Training
- Leadfoot
- Coaxial Machine Gun


And it looks like they have vehicles.

All in all this is looking like being a great game if you liked COD4

I've put a pre-order in for it on the 360 with game.co.uk as they will give you a beta code next friday, can always cancel the order after getting the code.

i seen the perks but where did you ready about the COD4 engine?

Ive also pre-ordered from GAME so hopefully will get a key on Friday!

indeed indeed, though at the time when cod3 came out i thought that looked great and online was great too

keep an eye on eurogamer and sites like that, they issued a pile of cod4 codes via them as well as via preorders

meh, its not gonna be cod4, but what I want to know is it going to have a hardcore mode? because cod4 with laggy americans means they are just sponging bullets, at least in hardcore they die when I shoot them.

Last night was bad with the yanks they was sponging loads i had one run straight into a claymore that blast was facing at him why i had some definte shots on him at the same time, he survived and gunned me down instead ! lol

eurogamer will apparently have some cod5 beta codes sometime this month, no date is set yet.

eurogamer had 20000 codes apparently.... went in 1 hour... i have it becuz i signed up to callofduty.com about a month or so ago but my brother missed out, so any1 with a spare code it would be greatly appreciated
