After taking down some ceiling tiles, there is a load of glue that wont come off with scrapers. Is there any product or DIY tip for getting rid of it?
possibly contact adhesive remover/cleaner, its used in the removal of glue from vener and work surface joints so should do the trick with ceiling tile glue

ususally though when ive taken them down we've been stripping the wall paper and so just left the steamer on in the room and it seems to soften the glue allowing it to be scrapped off.

just read a supposed tip that water and washing up liquid dabbed on and left for 5-10mins will soften them allowing them to be scrapped off
cheers slappy, will give it a go
failing the above a few others have come up with paint removers, start with white spirits/turps as youve proably got some lying around then if no joy you could try meths, paint thinners or maybe nitromors.
If nitromors given that your looking up at the ceiling be careful not to get it in the eye, either make the child labour do it or get some glasses or get some glasses for the child labour

and unless theres only a little dont make the child labour sand it, she'll be up that ladder for the next year
sorry you can't remove it all you can do is plaster over with bonding and then skim coat it.
its getting plastered ^^^^^^^^^^^
