Android OS either Samsung 8.9 or Asus Transformer Prime.
The Ipad; 32gig

Originally set on an Ipad simply as I've never owned anything Apple and I want a tablet and thought I'd see what all the fuss was about..having said that, I know it's got good battery life and a massive store/apps.

Chatting to a mate this weekend, he has overwhelmed me with the negatives; Apple don't give a shit about the end user and will churn out another model in 12 months, no widgets on the home screen, expensive, not customisable etc etc.
Now in two minds, still would like to try Apple, but do prefer the look of Android, however am aware that more and more companies seem to recently just concentrate on official apps on Apple iOS not Android (RBS Six Nations for example)

ive been catching up on a great deal of films this past few months while working away into the small hours so in no particular order:

The Smurfs - crap didn't bother watching past the first 20mins Smurfette has been made ugly, the puppet variants Gargamel used in the first 20mins were better characters than the CGI

Green Lantern - really enjoyed, dont care what the expert reviewers say (usually something about it being for 12 year olds, poorly written, flat characters, not true to the comic etc) i like it therefore i must be 12. Its not meant to be the fucking Shawshank Redemption its a comic book movie

Thor - i thought it wasnt as well connected as the above but i'd actually rate it higher than the Green Lantern. Again its a comic book movie so expect a comic book film for 12 year olds.

The Devil's Double - excellent, i dont know whether its meant to be accurate or inspired fiction based on reality. It certainly fits the bill of what we would believe as western folk reading/watching in our media and thus was an enjoyable portrayal to watch.

Final Destination 5 - more of the same didnt bring anything new to the concept dont know why i expected it to but for me it meant it was shit. Perhaps if it had been a good 10 years and this was a reboot i would have liked it but it wasnt so i didnt.

Unknown - excellent, concept, acting, script etc just a proper film all round not some classic oscar winner but just a fucking good film

Killer Elite - Concept should have been a winner for me but everything else about it just failed so i switched it off after 30-40mins

Mega mind - i dont want to compare it to the likes of Shrek, toys story, monsters inc but its an animation so it always will be in which case it falls short on many levels. On its own though not compared its a good easy and well done animation that gets down marked unfairly for not being one of the big guns

Paul - mixed bag i wanted to like it but think to much exposure had lead to me knowing all the gags or certainly being able to see the gags coming a mile off. Still enjoyable and Paul was really well scripted and definitely what the little grey men should be like should they ever visit

Inbetweeners - i do like the series but this was dreadful, perhaps it was meant to seem like it was hashed together but the script was way below par and so for me they were just cashing in on the popularity of the show. One to miss stick with the series repeats instead.

Veteran is piss easy compared to past offerings. I would recommend anyone who hasn't done it yet to just play on Veteran first, then go back and get any outstanding achievements and intel - should take you 10-12 hours that way.

Only played a few minutes of MP, can't be arsed to learn new maps so haven't been back.

Spec Ops, just done the 1st mission - 3 Stars and 26.0 Secs on the clock (pass for 3 stars is 28.0) - Slapp I'll wait for you to play co-op.

If you don't have the game already - I would recommend just renting if you can't get it cheap (unless you love MP)

Reckons he has got the drop plenty of times - he was on the recent open beta and says using Move he is getting double the kills than he was before. Says it stands out when you are moving and shooting as very accurate especially if you are for example moving forward but aiming up or down to one side.

Only downside is each start of the game you have to do a quick calibration on screen (you just shoot at 2 points on the screen) then you can start - you can't be shot during that time - but I suppose it causes a delay if you are trying to get to objectives first etc.

And something about you can't remap the buttons on the other controller as grenades is mapped to one and he wanted crouch or something.

End was sudden - stopped short of the 3 fights that made Micky Ward well known - his title fights against the late great Arturo Gatti. They could have shown you his 1st one at least.
The fights are nigh on exact replicas of the originals (watched some on youtube). Worth a watch if you are into boxing history etc. Performace from Christian Bale is very good and Mark Walberg is pretty good too. 8/10

Right, the business contract I'm on is due to expire and I need some help deciding what to do...........

For the past 18 months I've been part of a business contract via Kekie's dads company - T-Mobile Business 6 handsets (Blackberrys), free calls between handsets, then the 6 users have to share 1600 mins talk any network, 500 texts, unlimited data each month. Worked out £25-£35 per month depending on usage.

I replaced my BB Curve 12 months in as I was fed up with it, Kekie's BB Bold has just broke (Bolds and Saliva from a babys mouth don't mix). So she is currently on my Curve.

Contract finishes the 12th Feb, and we are deciding what to do. Kekie's dad wants to start a new 12 month contract with T-Mobile Business for Sim Only cards. The view being - he'd pay for all the sims for the year, the users pay for the phones if they want to upgrade.

Now, I want the new iphone 5 when it's out June / July and Kekie too, but at the same time we want to get out the company contracts as basically her dad controls the contract and has a habit of cutting us cut off when he has an arguement with the Network - and has previously just cancelled a contract losing us both our phone numbers - mine which I had from when T-Mobile were Mercury and was a memorable number.

Should we get out own contracts Sim Only - T-Mobile do a 12 month £20 one with 900 mins, 500 txts and if we use the free booster - unlimited internet.

The way I see it we can shift out current numbers to it - 6 months down the line - when the iphone 5 is out we sign up to a new contract on the iphone (port our numbers over and just pay off the remaining 6 months of the contract - £120).

Or

Three do a £35 a month contract on the iphone 4. 2000mins any network talk, 5000min three to three network talk, 5000 txts and unlimited data - 24 month contract.

This would mean we would be stuck on 3 for 24 months, but we are thinking - its the best deal on talk and txts (everyone we know is paying £50 a month for the iphone 4), once the iphone 5 is out we can just buy if off contract when we want and replace the iphone 4. This could be better off long term as I'm sure the iphone 5 deals will be stupid when they come out - £50 pcm like most people now (some of whom only have 600 mins talk - some have 900). Also its £40 for the phone and where'as everyone we know had to pay upwards of £180

Whats peoples opinions - anyone know about 3 as a network?

Right, the business contract I'm on is due to expire and I need some help deciding what to do...........

For the past 18 months I've been part of a business contract via Kekie's dads company - T-Mobile Business 6 handsets (Blackberrys), free calls between handsets, then the 6 users have to share 1600 mins talk any network, 500 texts, unlimited data each month. Worked out £25-£35 per month depending on usage.

Just watched the tonight show, MPs have just passed the second stage of a Bill to get rid of Greenwich Mean Time for the UK and adopt CET Central European Time!!!!

Next stage is to vote in a 3 year trial for the whole of the UK!!!!

These are one of the left wing liberal scum bags pushing for it:
http://www.lighterlater.org/

They argue that an extra hour of day light in the summer is more useful - for drinking out and entertainment. To be fair they is a lot of positives with their other arguements. Carbon emissions, etc

However the off set - GMT rules, and this is just making use more European.

We would have an extra hour of darkness in the mornings during winter. What this means is in Scotland it would still be dark in some places up until 10am. But generally 9am is when dawn would break.

For us in the south, it would be dawn around 8-8:30am, and dusk around 5:30-6pm. So basically I;d be getting up in the dark as per now, but rather than leave when it's light and the first rays of the sun are out I'd drive to work in the dark. I'd however get 30mins of light if I'm lucky in my 1.5hr drive home. So basically no fucking use to me.

The left wing liberal scum have left out the fact that during snowy times, the sun in the morning melts the ice and allows me to attempt to make it to work. If the suns out at 8:30am thats no fucking benefit for me.

BTW, one of the blokes who set up the campaign lives in Camdan and doesn't have to commute to work - so yeah it benefits that cunt cos he probably dont wake up till 8am and leaves at 8:30am when it's light - strange that. He actually said during the interview on the Tonight Show - it will allow an extra hour of light to sit out in the pub garden to enjoy your beer. Hang on - since when did getting dark stop people drinking in beer gardens?

160+ MP's voted for it - 86 Against - this could quite easily pass unless people start objecting
